Cultivation, post-harvest conservation, marketing and identification of watermelon (citrullus lanatus) varieties in three production zones in Côte d'Ivoire

Watermelon is a plant with great agronomic and economic potential. However, in Côte d'Ivoire, very few studies on cultivation practices, post-harvest conservation, marketing and identification of existing varieties have been conducted. The objective of this study is to acquire a better scientific knowledge of the production of watermelon in Côte d'Ivoire. To do this, a non-exhaustive survey using the snowball method was conducted among 127 producers, including 54 in Bassam, 42 in Jacqueville and 31 in Divo.

Change in gait parameters of forward walking after giving backward walking training among normal individual

Background: Backward walking has emerged as an important therapy. Backward walking is regulated by same central pattern generator as forward walking. Gait parameter of interest were step length, stride length, step width and cadence. Measurement was made at baseline before commencement of training and at the end of 4 weeks. Methods: Initially the subject were made to walk 10 steps forward and 9 steps backwards and was observed for any discomfort. Then patient is made to walk backward for 10 minutes per session barefoot.

Determination of hepatitis e virus and platelets counts among miscarriage women in saudi hospital in khartoum state at 2019

Hepatitis E virus (HEV) is an important enteric human pathogen worldwide distribution. It can cause sporadic cases as well as large epidemics of acute hepatitis. Many studies proved that HEV infection in pregnancy in the first trimester leads to miscarriage and in the third trimester poor maternal and fetal outcome. Study aimed to determine the prevalence of HEV among miscarriage women attending Saudi Hospital for in Khartoum, during the period from September to December 2019.

Quality of life of infertile couple in Kerala, India: An analytic approach

This paper is a cross-section analysis of the quality of life faced by the infertile couple in which each gender is considered separately. The social, environmental, economical, sexual, psychological, and physical dimension of the universally accepted questionnaire is adopted and the confidence on better Quality of Life is estimated. How infertile females are distinguished on QoL is enquired and a linear model is developed. Also, the logistic regression model on the QoL of both infertile male and female were distinguished and compared.

Major correction for vesa-2 regarding the method of flowing the air from the bottom to the top

A series of measurements and observations have already conducted regarding the temperature distribution and the safety of exhaust fan attached at the top of Vesa-2. Vesa-2 is an equipment created to prevent the exposure of gaseous emissions from the charcoal fire to the people who roast kemplang manually and traditionally in Palembang, South Sumatra Indonesia. The attachement of exhaust fan at the top of Vesa-2 has corrected regarding fluctuating heat resulting from the live charcoal at the bottom.

Reproductive performance of cotton leaf worm spodoptera littoralis exposed to necotinoids

Neonicotinoid insecticides, is the nicotinic acetylcholine receptors agonist, have been widely used against several insect pests. Insect individuals exposed to an insecticide, exhibit differences in susceptibility and responses to insecticide stress like Spodoptera littoralis (Boisd) (Lepidoptera: noctuidae) one of a distinct attacking crop pests in Egypt. Lifetable assessment after exposure become urgent need to evaluate newer insecticide efficacy. Laboratory rearing ad field batch from S.

Auscultation techniques for heritage buildings

Heritage monuments and ancient constructions are complex and delicate. Its conservation is vital for its subsistence and durability; its conservation is a challenge from a technical point of view. An early and adequate diagnosis of any pathological lesion in a monument is key to its maintenance and preservation. For this, auscultation techniques are necessary that allow a quick and effective diagnosis, but above all that is not harmful to its constituent materials.

Comparative study of fof2 diurnal variation between the dakar and ouagadougou stations during the one-day, two-day and three-day shock periods for the solar minimum and maximum of cycle 21-22

This paper deals with the comparative study of foF2 diurnal variation between the Dakar and Ouagadougou stations during shock activity of variable duration (one-day, two-day and three-day shock) for the solar minimum and maximum phases of cycle 21-22. At solar minimum, the curves of the diurnal variation of foF2 of two stations exhibit the signature of vertical drift indicating the presence of a strong electrojet. Except for the one-day shock, the ionization is strong at the Dakar station compared to the Ouagadougou station during this phase throughout the day.

Automation in healthcare through implementing the artificial intelligence technology

For decades artificial intelligence had been implemented in sectors like banking and financial industry, but it has now been used in healthcare field also. Artificial indicates human made object rather than taking place naturally, and intelligence is called an ability to form tactic to accomplish goals by interacting with information-rich surroundings.
