A simple, precise, accurate and robust RP-HPLC method has been developed for the estimation of simethicone in bulk and it’s pharmaceutical dosage form. Chromatographic separation was run through a phenomenex Luna C18 (4.6 x 250mm, 5μm) column using Water: Acetonitrile: Methanol (60:20:20v/v) as the mobile phase at a flow rate of 1.0ml/min, the UV detection was observed at 270 nm. The retention time of simethicone was found to be 4.25 min. The method produce linear responses in the concentration range of 5-30 µg/ml and correlation coefficient was found to be 0.9996. The method was statically validated according to ICH guidelines and the values are present in prescribed limits. The developed method can be suggest that routine analysis of bulk and pharmaceutical formulations of simethicone.
